Leslie Park Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Leslie Park golf course first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by E. Lawrence Packard and Arthur Hills.
Leslie Park is one of two municipal courses in Ann Arbor.
Playing at 6591 yards from the back tees, and with a rating/slope of 71.9/127, Leslie Park will challenge better golfers, however bogey golfers need not fear. The course plays nearly 800 yards shorter from the whites.
Like many of the courses in Michigan, Leslie Park's two nines have distinctly different characters. Most of the holes on the front nine are hilly, with either elevated tees or greens, or both. The back nine, on the other hand, is relatively flat. Elevation changes come into play on just three holes�and those are not significant.
#5 is a 407 yard par-4 that plays like a roller coaster ride. From the tee, the fairway slopes slightly down and then back up to a crest about 200 yards out. At that point, it takes a steep dive down into a ravine and then back up again to the green. From the ravine bottom, it�s about 120 to the green.
#17 is the par-3 with a 150 yard shot across a pond to a green nestled against a hillside. The tee box is right next to a barn, which adds some charm to the whole scene.

Back tees: 6,222 yards, course rating 70.3, slope rating 125.
Middle tees (M): 5,805 yards, course rating 68.1, slope rating 123.
Middle tees (W): 5,805 yards, course rating 74.5, slope rating 132.
Forward tees: 4,985 yards, course rating 69.4, slope rating 121.

IT WAS A FAIR CHALLENGE. OLD STYLE COURSE.....VERY FEW LONG CARRIES AND SMALL TO MEDIUM GREENS. EACH HOLE HAD A CHARACTER OF ITS OWN. WELL MAINTAINED. WITH ENOUGH FORGIVENESS TO BRING ME BACK!!

Great Course. Great Friendly Staff. The conditions are always excellent, and because of the layout, playing the course never gets boring. I play there 10+ times a year and have always been happy. The course is secluded with no homes, no noise, no worries. Mike in the clubhouse is the best, always laughing and always accomodating. It was voted the Best Muni in the country(?) or state by Golf Digest - play it once and you will see why!

The course description for hole # 4 is actually hole #5. One of the toughest on the front 9 for sure. Rated by a major golf mag as one of the top municipal courses in the U.S. and deserves this ranking. You can't just pull the driver on every par 4 and par 5. Take the time to think your way around this course. I played alone on a weekday in the fall, and played in just over 3 hours.

Overall, so good that it occasionally gets too crowded with folks who do not understand "ready golf". T-times should be 10 minutes, not 8 on weekends especially.
Otherwise, a much improved course from 10 years ago.

I've heard so many good things about this course, so I made a Tuesday 7:30am tee time for Senior rate of $32 w/cart on this cool June morning. This 18 rolling hill hole course was originally designed in 1967 by E. Lawrence Packer with later renovations in 1995 by Arthur Hills to the track it is today. With the four (4) tee boxes you can play from the Blacks at 6,611 / 72.0 / 129 down to Gold at 4,906 / 69.4 / 121 with conditions that rival courses twice the price. We chose the Blue's that played 3,143/3,079yds / 70.3 / 125 and with our 200-230yd drives, landing areas were very fair for advancing 2nd shots towards your next target. Fairway grass was mowed tight but allowed the ball to sit up nicely and taking a full divot with no hard soil. Greens were impeccable for being smooth and pinch mark free which speaks about maintenance crews and golfers alike. The sand traps you encounter today (and you will), are well placed and fully fluffed for your arrival. Front 9 starts out with a straightaway 543yd Par 5 (Longest hole) that allows you some warmup swings on a generous fairway. The #4 Par 5 is a slight LH dogleg that works uphill for 507yds and is a Hcp 6 rating. The #5 at 407yd Par 4 has you wanting to land your tee shot 150yds from the green or you'll be hitting a blind 100yd shot from the bottom of a grassy ravine. The #6 is another uphill 407yd Par 4 to protect it's Hcp 2 ranking. The #9 a 399 Par 4 has you hitting 180-200yd tee shot to corner and then banging it the rest of the way. Back ( starts out with it's Hcp 1 hole at 404yd Par 4 with a risky shot to a deep green tucked LH side of creek crossing, located in a swamp setting. (No Bailout) The #11 at 502yd Par 5 is their Hcp 3 because of the narrow rolling and blind fairway. Two (2) 180yd shots will put you in a good location for your blind shot to a downhill green. Rest of the holes are laid out fairly straight but with the rolling terrain it adds a good degree of difficulty. Enjoyed playing here today with Larry and Andy as they gave me many course tips allowing be to shot 40/40 w/36putts on this Great challenging seasoned course.
